Dr. Turchenko is currently a Research Fellow in the Department of Political Economy, King’s College London; she also a Senior Research Assistant in Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Dr. Turchenko received her PhD, master's degree, and bachelor's degree from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, all in Political Science. She has held fellowships from the British Academy, Cara, IT education for Woman, and most recently held the Erasmus Programme, Staff Mobility for teaching at G.S. Rakovski National Defence College, Sofia, Bulgaria. She has published Implementation of the State information policy of Ukraine in the defence domain. (2018). The book shows the specific character of the state information policy in a democratic state while being implemented in the defense domain. Dr. Turchenko has helped coordinate the student Youth Council of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and implemented a project to popularize military service. She was also a lector of the authors master’s course "The practice of information policy implementation in the defense domain of Ukraine". Her main areas of research interest are in the areas of state information policy, and the role of disinformation as a threat to the quality of contemporary information.
Dr. Turchenko is a member of the European Consortium for Political Research, the British Academy’s Early Career Researcher Network, the Political Studies Association, Kclsu Students’ Union
