The project examined how the COVID-19 pandemic, intensified by misinformation on social media, led to an WHO-declared infodemic. The "PredCov" project investigates the influence of media on public debate and perceptions of the pandemic, as part of a larger effort to model disease spread by incorporating diverse data and innovative analytics.

This project (June-November 2023), funded by the European Media and Information Fund, aims to enhance EU and Ukrainian fact-checking skills by analyzing disinformation about the Ukraine war and Russian actions, using the StopFake database to bolster narrative understanding and media integrity

Misinformation, Disinformation and Hate Speech

This project, funded by the European Commission's ECHO, aims to combat misinformation, disinformation, and hate speech affecting refugees and migrants. Through research and analysis, MediaLab will develop strategies to mitigate these harmful effects on digital platforms, improving communication with displaced communities and enhancing protection efforts.
