Teresa García de Alcaraz Ruiz

Teresa García de Alcaraz Ruiz is a doctoral student and researcher specializing in disinformation and cybersecurity. She conducts her research at the Cybersecurity and Data Science Lab (CyberDataLab) at the University of Murcia. Teresa holds degrees in Journalism and Information and Documentation, as well as a master’s degree in Digital Content.

Although she is enrolled in the doctoral program at the Faculty of Communication at her university, her research is primarily based within the Faculty of Computer Science. This interdisciplinary setting allows her to benefit from the guidance of two thesis supervisors—one from each faculty—and the collaboration of a highly skilled technical team. The unique environment of CyberDataLab enables Teresa to address the challenges of disinformation from both communication and technological perspectives, fostering innovative approaches at the intersection of media studies and cybersecurity.
