Rocío Sánchez del Vas

Rocío Sánchez del Vas is a journalist with a Master's Degree in Applied Media Research from UC3M. In the 2021-2022 academic year, she obtained the Collaboration Grant with the Department of Communication. She was awarded the UC3M Social Council Excellence Award in the student category, as well as the Extraordinary End-of-Degree Award. As a journalist, she has worked in digital media, radio and television. In her academic career, she has published on European affairs, participated in international conferences and is part of the Jean Monnet Chair "FUTEUDISPAN". In November 2023, she begins the Doctoral Program in Media Research and in January 2024 she begins her career in the department with the FPU Grant. Her main research interests are new journalistic practices and disinformation and fact-checking in Europe.
