Patricia del Castaño Portillo

Patricia del Castaño Portillo is a pre-doctoral researcher in the Department of Public Law and Socio-Legal Political Thought at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations, specializing in Communication Management, and a Master’s degree in International Studies from UPV/EHU.
Her research focuses on analysing the securitisation of disinformation within the European Union, examining how digital misinformation is framed and addressed in policy and governance contexts. Patricia was also a Visiting Research Fellow at UNU-CRIS, where she contributed to the Digital Governance Cluster.
