Nerea Rubio-López is a psychologist with a master’s degree in Communication and Culture. She is currently studying for her PhD in Psychology at the University of Seville and works as a researcher at the International University of La Rioja. Her main areas of interest include media studies, fan studies, and gender studies, with a particular focus on digital spaces and their influence on identity construction. Her doctoral thesis analyzes, from a cultural psychology perspective, how women negotiate and reconfigure their identities in masculinized environments, especially in online communities and digital platforms. She is also involved in several research projects, including studies on digital literacy, TikTok usage among teenagers, and the critical engagement with artificial intelligence, as well as an exploration of digital feminism in South Korea
