Second European Conference on Disinformation and Fact-Checking | Conference speaker
Najeebullah Rahmati is a PhD scholar in Media and Communication at the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, India. My research focuses on Technological Utopianism, with particular engagement with thinkers such as Herbert Marcuse. I hold a master’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the same university, awarded through the prestigious ICCR Scholarship. My academic journey began with a bachelor's degree in English (Hons), which laid the foundation for my interest in communication, critical theory, and digital media. In addition to my academic pursuits, I served as a member of the Afghanistan Journalists Council, reflecting my deep commitment to media practice and advocacy. I actively participate in conferences and workshops to enhance both my academic and professional competencies, with the goal of bridging theoretical insights with real-world media issues, in particular, those affecting conflict zones and marginalized communities.
