Monika Mačiulienė

Monika Mačiulienė is a senior researcher at Kaunas University of Technology. Her work
examines citizen science, digital communication, collective intelligence, and public
engagement with science. She has led and contributed to national and international projects,
including research on climate misinformation, open science practices, and innovative forms of
citizen participation. She is also Director of the Lithuanian Citizen Science Association, where
she works to strengthen the citizen science community in Lithuania and connect it with
European and global networks. Her research has appeared in leading international journals,
and she contributes to editorial boards and professional associations in the fields of
communication, innovation, and knowledge co-creation. Holding a PhD in Social Sciences and a
postdoctoral fellowship in open science, she combines research with policy evaluation and
practical initiatives that advance public trust in science and inclusive participation in
knowledge creation.
