Miran Čoklo, MD, PhD, is a member of the Hybrid Warfare Research Institute, Zagreb, Croatia and employed as the scientific advisor at the Institute for Anthropological Research, Zagreb, Croatia. He received his PhD in 2009 in the field of forensic sciences. Over the past years, he is involved in numerous research activities regarding combating disinformation, including the ongoing ATENA (Analysis of the Accuracy of Media Articles) project, a part of the measure "Establishment of a system for verifying the accuracy of information", financed under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP). His professional and scientific fields of interest in that sense are combating disinformation, with emphasis on those related to biomedical issues, and also the (mis)use of artificial intelligence tools in creating/combating disinformation and journalism in general. In his scientific approach, he combines experience gained from forensic sciences and multidisciplinary and holistic bioanthropological research. Over more than 20-year-long scientific career, he authored more than 150 scientific publications with more than 1300 citations. He participated in 20 international and national research projects (PI in 7 of them).
