
María Andrés Marín

María Andrés Marín is head of the European Parliament Office in Spain. Her career as EU civil servant started in 2003, first as press officer of that Institution in Brussels and later as head of the EP press service in Madrid. Prior to that she was the director of external action at the Government of La Rioja, Spain (2002-03) and a journalist working for various regional and national media (2000-02).
She has a degree in journalism (University of Navarra/ University of Columbia, USA) and a master's degree in European studies (University of Bath, UK / Université Sciences Po, FR). In the last years, María Andrés has received the nomination as "Mujer Top 100" in Spain and several awards for her work to promote gender equality in Europe. She is mother of 3 girls.
