Leah Nann is a Doctoral Researcher in Media Anthropology at Ludwig Maximilians University Munich. Her research interests include AI and online extreme speech, as well as gender-based harassment online. She is a team member of the European Research Council funded proof-of-concept project "AI4Dignity" (PI Sahana Udupa) and the Bidt project "Understanding, detecting, and mitigating online misogyny against politically active women". For her dissertation she has conducted and published research on online misogyny towards politicians and climate activists in Germany. She has also recently co-authored a policy brief on “Artificial Intelligence, Extreme Speech and the Challenges of Online Content Moderation” and a paper on “Online Anti-Immigrant Discourse in Germany”.
