Ieva Rizgelienė is a PhD student in Informatics at Vilnius University, specializing in deep learning approaches for propaganda detection. Her dissertation focuses on developing the first deep learning model for identifying propaganda techniques and narratives in Lithuanian, a low-resource language, and aims to create a publicly accessible tool to help citizens critically assess textual content. Ieva leads the project "Applying Machine Learning in the Fight Against Disinformation and Propaganda: Narrative Analysis and Application in Public Sector Crisis Management" and is a junior researcher in "Research on Propaganda and Disinformation: Automatic Recognition by Machine Learning, Impact, and Societal Resilience". She also serves as the Lithuanian language co-lead for the COST UniDive action on multilingual corpus annotation of multiword expressions and participates in the GOBLIN network, where she works on enhancing fake news detection in low-resource languages using knowledge graphs and large language models.
