Francesco Maria Parente

Francesco Maria Parente recently earned a PhD in Humanities from the University of Urbino. His research in the sociology of cultural and communicative processes has allowed him to empirically explore the dynamics of platformization. Specifically, through netnographic experiences with climate change "disinformation" and ethnographic experiences within a fact-checking newsroom, the author has begun to explore the complexities inherent in contemporary socio-technological and epistemic assemblages
