Dimitrios Giomelakis

Dimitrios Giomelakis is a special research scientist in the Department of Social and Political Sciences (Journalism Program) at the University of Cyprus. He received his PhD in journalism studies from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and his doctoral dissertation investigated the use and impact of different technological tools and internet services on news media websites and journalistic content. He holds a BA in Journalism and an MSc degree in Information and Communication Technologies, which focused on audio-visual production and education.
