Carla Sofia Cardoso

Carla Sofia Cardoso holds a degree in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (1994) and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar, University of Porto (2002). She is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto (FDUP), where she teaches across the three study cycles in Criminology. She is a full member of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Justice (CIJ/FDUP) and a collaborating member of the Centre for Legal, Economic, International and Environmental Studies (CEJEA). She participates in international and natioanl research projects and networks. Her main research interests focus on experimental and laboratory criminology, biosocial and developmental criminology, urban security and policing, and cybercrime
