Andrea Langbecker

Andrea Langbecker holds a degree in Journalism from the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil, a master’s in public health from the State University of Sao Paulo, a Ph.D. in Public Health within the realm of social sciences in health from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), and a Ph.D. in the Media Research programme from the Carlos III University of Madrid. My work experience includes roles as an editor and reporter for Brazilian newspapers, specifically in the cities and health sections. Additionally, she has worked as a communication advisor at the Institute of Collective Health at the Federal University of Bahia. Currently, she is a professor in the Department of Communication at Carlos III University of Madrid, a professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences at UNIR, and an associate editor of the Spanish Journal of Health Communication. She has published scientific articles and contributed to book chapters in edited book series within her area of research interest- Health Communication. She has also participated in conferences both as an attendee and as a speaker at national and international congresses.
