PhD in Communication and professor in the Department of Communication at the Carlos III University of Madrid. Degree in Journalism from the University of Navarra. Also Master's Degree in Marketing and Multimedia Communication and Diploma in Scientific Culture. He is a member of the work team of national and international competitive research projects on journalism/communication and health, disinformation and media literacy. He has worked in the mass media as a televisión host, reporter and news editor (Cadena SER, CNN+, Antena 3). He has been responsible for communication in public services (Anti-Drug Agency of the Community of Madrid, Madrid Health). He is a communication, marketing and strategy consultant for companies, foundations, NGOs and other organisations; in this field he has worked, among others, for Hitachi Energy, National Plan on Drugs, Madrid Subterra, Hogar Sí and Hi Haiti. He is the author or co-author of more than 40 publications including articles, books and book chapters. 325 citations and H=8 index in Google Scholar. Founder and first editor-in-chief of Revista de Comunicación y Salud (2011-2014).
